Baccarat History
Baccarat was started
back in old days in the Middle Ages. Many people
say that earlier this game was played with a Tarot
Deck but no one has proven it till date. This game
was originally made in Italy, and later on became
popular in France where it became even more
popular than in Italy. There is also a French
Baccarat which is called "Chemin de fer".
Chemin de fer is very similar to the American
Baccarat which is played today. The only
difference between them is that one of the players
banks the game instead of the casino. The title of
banker rotates around the table in a manner
similar to the dice at a craps table. The
interesting bit to observe of course is that the
casino is taking no risk here; they simply charge
a fee from each banker.
Tommy Renzoni brought
this game in to United States in the late 1950s as
a combination of French baccarat. It was
introduced into Las Vegas in the Dunes casino in
the late 1950s after the Cuban government closed
the Havana casinos. The
most popular kind of baccarat that is played today
around the world is originated from the great
Britain. This game has a very big overseas
history. I personally like this game very much.
Very easy to play once you know the rules well. |
